May 11th Kings Gym Show

Kings Gym hosted our second amateur boxing show on May 11th at the Alexander Centre in Faversham. The show featured 12 brilliantly matched contests 4 of which involved Kings Gym boxers (this would've been 7 but unfortunately late pullouts denied this).

First up was Kaiden Arthey in a skills bout, the youngster making his debut produced a brilliant boxing performance impressing the whole crowd and showing he is one to watch for the future.

Next up was Luke Davidson in a senior contest against a strong opponent from Oxford Boxing Academy. Luke started fantastically winning the first round with well measured attacks to head and body working behind the jab. The second and third rounds were much tighter affairs with both boxers receiving counts from the referee, at the end of the bout Davidson was awarded the decision by majority.

Josh Lock was next up for Kings Gym against another strong opponent, this time from Finchley ABC, unfortunately and to the dismay of the Kings Gym team the bout was prematurely stopped in the first round by the referee awarding the bout to Ekineh of Finchley.

Karl Brickland was once again involved in the final bout of the evening in a contest against Josh Flannery from Folkestone ABC, Karl displayed a boxing masterclass for all three rounds to come away with the win and the boxer of the night award.
